Diocese of Harbin
Since the Cultural Revolution, all Orthodox churches in Harbin Diocese were closed or destroyed.
The Diocese of Harbin covered Northeast China, including the present-day provinces of Inner Mongolia, Heilongjiang, Jilin and Liaoning. In 1984, the local government allowed the restoration and opening of Pokrov Church in Harbin. Today it is without a priest since the repose of Fr Grigory Zhu in September 2000. The St Innocent of Irkust Church in Inner Mongolia was newly built by the Chinese government.
