In response to the destruction of the original St Innokenty Church in 1967, the local Chinese authorities funded the construction in 1999 of a new church temple in E'erguna (formerly Labdarin, or Labudalin in pinyin), Hulunbuir, in northeastern Inner Mongolia.
This new Church is also named after St Innokenty of Irkutsk and in 2008 has finally received the long awaited iconostasis which has been held in customs since year 2000. The temple was consecrated on Sunday, August 30, 2009 by Fr Michael Wang of Shanghai. Without any local indigenous clergy, no liturgy is being served, but two or three short prayer services have been held.
