The Head of the Department of External Church Relations of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church handed over to the parish in Hong Kong an Icon of Saint Gury on behalf of His Beatitude Metropolitan Vladimir

On November 16, the Head of the Department of External Church Relations of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church - Archimandrite Kirill (Govorun), who with the blessing of His Beatitude Metropolitan Vladimir is on a visit in Hong Kong, celebrated Divine Liturgy in the missionary Orthodox parish of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul, during which the rector of the church Archpriest Dionisy Pozdnyaev assisted him.

After the Liturgy, Archimandrite Kirill solemnly handed over to this parish the Icon containing a particle of the recently glorified saint of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church - Saint Gury (Karpov), Archbishop of Tauris, which was brought by him from Ukraine. He also read aloud the letter of His Beatitude Vladimir, Metropolitan of Kiev and all of Ukraine, addressed to the head of the parish, the text of which is presented shortly after. After that, a Prayer Service dedicated to the saint was performed by him and Archpriest Dionisy before the Icon of Saint Gury.
