A Chinese Christian Library Opened in Moscow

At the beginning of September, a Chinese Orthodox Library, intended for those interested in the history of Christianity in the Celestial Kingdom, opened in Moscow. This was reported to Pravoslavie.Ru by the Research Group on Problems of the Orthodox Church in China at the Department of External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate.

The library's repository has a collection of materials on the history of the Russian Spiritual Mission and the Russian emigration in China, the Chinese Autonomous Orthodox Church and the current situation of Christian missionaries in the PRC, Hong Kong and Taiwan. The library also has monographs and periodicals devoted to these subjects.

The library develops and supports projects on archival materials, research on aspects of inter-civilizational dialogue and cultural adaptation of the Chinese diaspora in Russia, problems related to translating service books into Chinese, questions of the religious life of the Chinese world.

The library is open for collaboration with all interested persons. It is open on Monday (16:00-19:00), Tuesday (12:00-14:00) and Saturday (12:00-14:00). Address: m.
